The Female DJ Association is a worldwide community with a mission to help empower and inspire Aspiring, New, and Experienced Female DJ's by sharing tools and resources to

• help build, strengthen, and enhance their DJ Skills

• create and elevate their DJ Business,

• prepare and empower them to create their own opportunities.

About Qiana (DJ Q-BOOGIE)

​

I am a Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Business Owner, and Professional DJ! I've always loved music and dancing since I was a little girl. I always tell people that I was a DJ at 7 years old in our basement playing my parents records.  

 

I have this beautiful memory of playing "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth Wind and Fire on a plastic record player that I got from my parents at a very young age. It's not until a couple of years ago that I even figured out that one of my favorite

songs growing up would end up being part of my DJ name. 

​

I've been DJ'ing for 15 years and could never have thought in a million years that I would be doing what I love for a living until 2019 when I made the best decision of my life.  Yes, I left my Corporate job to do something that I was passionate about. 

​

When I started this DJ Journey, I had no idea that I would become an Award Winning DJ or that I would have the title of Sound Artist, be commissioned to create a soundscape, or have 20K months.  

​

These successes and so much more have happened because I started saying yes to opportunities that I was once scared to say yes to. This happened because I started doing something for myself.  I started investing in myself and the things that made me happy.  I started using my skills to be creative. I began to feel confident in my DJ and business skills. 

​

These past couple of years have been challenging but I have still been able to support my family,  build my business,  showcase my skill and be compensated, DJ for people all over the world, be available to answer questions and help other DJ's.  

 

If I can do it, so can you!
